A codicil is a supplementary legal document that lets you to make minor amends to a Will without needing to rewrite the original document.
Typically, codicils work well if you want to:
adjust the value or recipient of a gift (including adding gifts to charities)
appoint a new executor, trustee or guardian
alter funeral arrangements
Just like a Will, a codicil must be signed and dated by the person who made the Will and witnessed by two independent people to be considered legally valid.

There are no legal limits to the number of codicils you can add to a Will, but if you are making multiple changes, it may be more straightforward to make a new Will.
