Whether you already have your own place or you'd like a charity place, join Team Cancer Research UK in 2026 for the Race to the Stones and play your part in supporting vital cancer research.

Get a charity place

We can offer you a Cancer Research UK charity place in the Race to the Stones 2026. Sign up to raise vital funds for research and help us beat cancer. Entry fee: £75 (weekender), £55 (100km nonstop) or £45 (50km on day 1 or 2) Minimum fundraising target: £550 (weekender) or £350 (50km on day 1 or 2)

Use my own place

Once you've secured your own place in the Race to the Stones, use it to join Team Cancer Research UK and fundraise for vital cancer research. No extra entry fee, you'll have already paid the event organiser. Set your own fundraising target.

About the Race to the Stones

Have you got what it takes to conquer the oldest path in Britain? The Ridgeway has endured 5,000 years. You just have to last 100km.

Find out for yourself what draws 3,000 people from around the world each year to follow in the footsteps of Romans, Vikings and mythical warriors in their quest to reach the ancient stone circle at Avebury.

Threshold Sports believe in opening up Ultras for All and from sign up to the finish line, they will support you every step of the way along this incredible journey! With a completion rate of over 90% this is the perfect 1st ultra.

This is a challenge for all ages, experience and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, patient plodder or weekend walker – choose to camp over the weekend, take on 100km in one go, or 50km in one day. Grit and determination will get you to the finish and secure those memories to last a life-time.
