Treatment for liver cancer
Surgery is one of the main treatments for early cancer that started in the liver (primary liver cancer).
You might have part of your liver removed (a resection) or a liver transplant.
Different types of surgery for liver cancer include removal of part of the liver (liver resection or lobectomy) or liver transplant.
A liver transplant is an operation to remove your liver and replace it with a healthy liver from a donor.
